Mental wellness plays a role…Don’t be ashamed to share your story!!!
“You couldn’t have strength without weakness, you couldn’t have light without dark, and you couldn’t have love without loss”…
I can completely understand the times when you have so much in your heart to speak out but there aren’t people close enough to do that with…I myself have faced times like these especially when you are being targeted by a group of people but you just aren’t the type to go around speaking your truth about how you felt in a particular situation…. The world we live in today doesn’t know our journey yet is quick to form judgements…..To top this, in the absence of a proper support system one is just inches away from drastic steps that can only leave further pain in the world…especially for those whom you truly care about… The question remains; Do we have the right support system? Our parents (who will never defy you), or siblings because blood is thicker than water, a true friend….I say true because unfortunately there are too many wolves in the garb of angels, extended families…but well more often than not they are just that….’extended’…
To the World: After having lost so many people to mental Illness we still struggle to offer a listening ear, a helping hand and watchful demeanor, or just saying and meaning it; ‘I have your back’.
C’mon do we even look around us to see who needs someone to talk to…?
Leading to a society so invested in their own business and honestly none can be that invested…we have enough stories for that..infact a popular punjabi saying that goes “Jithe dekhi tawa parat uthe guzari saari raat.” If you gain out of someone you shall be there…..as a generation we seem to have simply become very selfish.
I think people just lack the consciousness or the love for human kind, the kindness, the space, the ear….the memories one gave you so you in the least look back and check on them…
And to those of you unable to take this bout of heaviness; Have you tried to know what keeps you going? Everyone says money, fame, etc can’t buy happiness but even the lack of it can’t….
#Stalwarts, #Corporate honchos, #Brilliant minds, even #Scientists #Creative souls, #rich and #poor, etc….have ailments of the mind….No one is spared the challenges of the mind…..Explore that instead what gives YOU hope to live on….
This grey matter can be your best friend and yet your worst enemy!
Why do unrealistic society or growing up expectations get the better of you even at adulthood…why any person at any age needs to “Fit a box of expectations” Why?
Aren’t the most creative accomplished people in the world speaking enough about being comfortable in your own skin?
Ok, there are underlying issues still…Have you please explored the various support groups, a Life Coach, a friend who would put you across to the right person, a walk in the rain, an exercise regime, a different perspective, a new hobby…..or have you just tried the good old ‘Acceptance’?
People have loads of uncertainties and difficulties and ending one’s life is certainly not the solution to it. You are always bigger than your issues and for whatever it may be you aren’t dealt with more than you can handle. You can beat this and are stronger than this…if it takes the better off you…take an off from it and not yourself.
It’s just taking care of those finer inbetween but grave moments….try if u must to be around someone who gives you space and an atmosphere to talk…if you need to..
As I recall, I had just completed my course on #LifeCoaching, and I took it up because someone really close suggested it comes naturally to me…
One fine morning I received a message on my messenger that I wasn’t very active on…but it rung an alarm, a friend sounded really low and seemed like was in need of immediate help…over the years we hadn’t kept in touch but were just connected on Facebook.
It was our good luck she decided to text me, I asked for her contact details immediately and luckily she sent me the same, I called her the very same minute only to realize if I hadn’t done so….what could have happened…
This woman had suicidal tendencies that were raging due to the circumstances and the veil she had to don day by day… I had a brief talk to her and I suppose I deluded her completely from her negative thoughts…I didn’t stop at that I offered to or rather say compelled her to meet… which I’m glad happened ….there was something encouraging in our conversation that day, that I left her a far more confident person that evening to deal with life’s circumstances.
Yes, and I did keep in touch to check on her well-being as a good friend would….
Why am I saying this? Because it didn’t take much from my end but I hope and believe it did much for her and her loved ones…
There are many such incidents to quote on confidence building and fighting through it spirit that I can narrate here..but the purpose is to solely request one and all to be Be There!!!
And for those dealing with emotions that leave you so distressed to not have a dime of hope….Please seek someone you believe in …also professional help is great because mental illness needs more sunlight, more colour and more unashamed conversations.
Those dealing with a depressed or mentally disturbed person can also suggest a life coach.
If you seek a good life coach; this angel in your life can truly take you on to a wonderful journey of positive self discovery. Each person is unique and precious and needs a personalised approach!!!
And if nothing helps in the moment; know: That there is always good old ‘time’ …that heals everything!!!
Just because no one can heal or do your inner work for you…doesn’t mean you can, should or need to do it alone…
